Vitamin E, An Antioxidant, A Strong Regiment in Body’s Defence System!!

“There are two obstacles to vibrant health and longevity: ignorance and complacency.” – World
Health Organization.
I strongly agree with it. Do you know on!!

Anta Tikta, Danta Lun,
Peta Puriba Tini Gun,
Mathe Pagoda, Pav Tel
Baida Sange Kariba Gel….

Every morning take something bitter in empty stomach, apply salt in teeth regularly, Eat up to ¾ th of your stomach(never eat stomach full), always cover your head and message oil in the feet before going to sleep. If you do these things, you can challenge any doctor in the village.

The above lines in Odia are basically an ancient way of lifestyle that was believed to be important to keep people healthy till their last breathe and live a long life.

Never before, the above words spoken by my father reverberated in me than in recent years. Its only when I had to play a “temple-run”, literally running from one doctor to other, to address my different health problems, I realized what my health-conscious-father wanted us to learn about life, health and living, in my upbringing years. Precisely a Healthy Lifestyle

He used to say,

LIFE itself doesn’t come up with any health problems; it’s the LIFESTYLE we lead, that brings us the health issues. That’s why whenever we get affected by any disease or health issues, since time immemorial, doctors advice us to adopt some Lifestyle changes – sometime for a temporary period and sometimes permanent changes depending upon the health ailment - along with the medications.  Sometime we are advised to add few foods to our diets and sometimes to remove few things too.  So while dealing with health issues, doctors invariably asks us to change and adopt a better lifestyle.
How true it is!! But sad L that I didn’t realised them till I suffered hell lot of health issues. Sigh!!  Well better late than never….

Few years back, That day, I was sitting before a nutritionist finally after being asked by an array of specialists – an endocrinologist, gynaecologist, dermatologist and my parlorwali too- I visited before.

Having an inflammatory thyroid gland with an acute Hypothyroidism, receding hairlines with few white strands winking at you spelling their existence, dull skin along with skin problems too due to a mild attack of auto immune disorder, sunken eyes, puffy face, extra fatigued mind and extra bulges peeping out stubbornly defying the efforts my loosely wore kameez  to hide them, I was probably helpless and hopeless to get back to my normal life, at least. It seemed as if the last one decade – that included my motherhood, babying the child, tussle between my home and work etc that resulted in a very irregular lifestyle - had taken a big toll on me making me a “Beyond repair” creature at the end.

However, the lady before me was having twinkles in her eyes, pacified me assuring that within few months, I would find a different me. She gave me a chart to strictly adhere with that included list of foods, timings, activities and other optional things and asked me to visit her regularly in prescribed time. And I religiously followed them out of desperation though but trust me, today I am all together a different person. That’s the power of adopting right life style, food and activities.

We suffer health issues often due to free radicals. Free radicals are toxic byproducts of oxygen metabolism that can cause significant damage to living cells and tissues in a process called "oxidation stress." They are unstable and electron deficient atoms, precisely scavengers, damage cells and tissues in our body to snatch an electron from them to settle down their own. The damaged cells and tissues results in destroying of many organs as well as creating ailments. The Free radicals need to be neutralised and there comes the role of the vitamins and minerals, that the body uses to counteract oxidative stress are called antioxidants.

It’s just like free radicals are inner and inevitable enemies of the body and antioxidants are inner army to deal with them. However, the army often lacks strength and potency (suffer deficiency of certain Vitamins and Minerals) which we need to outsource from externals agencies like food and all.

Vitamin E is a strong antioxidant to neutralise Free Radicals. It helps in sanitising free radicals that damage skin and hair normally but also helps in dealing with those that affect our different organ systems too that may cause deadly ailments as terrible as Cancer too.  We can say, it’s a Strong Regiment in our body’s defence system.

I was asked to add avocado and Almonds (the good source of Vitamin E) in my diet while was restricted to other sources like Spinach, Broccoli, Shrimps etc given to my hypersensitivity to them.

In fact at times I was asked to supplement them in the form of tablets, for popping orally and lotions, gels capsules and creams to apply in the specific parts. Like Vitamin E Gel tablet that need to be pierced with a pin and squeezed out the gel and apply on hair and face. It was reallyyy helpful. Out of many other things Vitamin E supplement both from food and other sources like cream or pills,  really helped me not only regain my vitality, glowing skin and thickening hair but also it repaired my body from inside too, making me look fresh and energised.

Now days, there are many readily available authentic sources i.e. Doctors rely upon like Evion  for outsourcing  Vitamin E for the body’s defence system.

Recent I bought a Evion Cream containingVitamin E and aloe vera which is an excellent moisturising cream. Vitamin E also helps in weight loss, removing pregnancy stretch marks, dry skin problems and hair problems like premature greying of hair and hair loss. So i must take its importance seriously!!

Thank God!! I am back to life with a Healthy Life Style…and Trillion Thanks To my father who is twinkling in the night sky!!
So…what’s you are waiting for? Check out yours…Okay!!!

Songs of A Gypsy Heart!!!

Songs of A Gypsy Heart!!!

I believe that whenever we are in the right path of our life, positive co-incidences happen. That’s my personal observation, because it happened so with me few years back, when I thought of giving a serious note to writing as a distraction from my mundane life.
I was never a writer-kind of person and poetry was something which could have not even imagined in my wildest dream. But then, probably Destiny had a very different plan for me to chart and archive what nature has stored for me.
Surprising things happened, helping me to be groomed up as a writer and a poet. Still, I am in the learning phase, quite naive and tender… And here I am with my first Poetry Collection Book. I feel, this is what they say Beginner’s luck.

With the Process of My life I have learnt
I have a DEFINITE purpose in this Vast Universe
There is a SONG which only I can sing
There is a PLACE which only I can fill
There is a CALLING which only I can answer
There is ROLE which only I can perform
To meet the PURPOSE of my Life and Its Norm
The World awaits Me with Open arms
For the boundless Joy and Happiness, to have

I have to sing the songs of my gypsy heart!
We all are created for a definite purpose; it’s our responsibility to fulfil that. That’s Life.

When I encountered with My Shadow!!

When I encountered with My Shadow!!

In the embrace of the abandoned dark,
When the whispers of glowworm
Were as laud as their spark
In a whimsical moment
I trail down the stripped concourse,
Where a single lamp-post stands lit,
Illuminating it with golden flash

I remembered,
For n-number of times in the past
I had passed by that neon glint patch
While silence was the ruling boss in the ambiance

But Today,
It was unusually strange
My Solitude was punctured by an insinuation
I pause for a moment and looked around
The sound was coming from beneath the ground

“You never look at me & register my existence
Even If I am the lone and forever, companion you have
Even If you spare a look, at once
It’s just to Look-down upon me, always”

The uttering voice was bewailed & grieved
Made me cast my surprised look on the ground
And I encountered my SHADOW, in a lamenting sound

Replied I…
“You stride with me only when paths are bright,
But in darkness you are out of my sight.
You disappear often in the times of dark
Leaving me alone, done and off-track
Opportunist betray and you the one
I get hurt most when you shun”

Dismayed by my ruthless avowal,
My SHADOW said
“You could never see my fight with dark
That not only torments you,
But also steals my existence
Every time, you face darkness
I suffer an identity crisis
For you it’s just twists and turns of life
But my fight is to bring light to your life
For my existence is because of the light around you
That’s why I always pray, a shining life for you”

I can’t say if it is inscribed in my DNA or I have been programmed that way or it’s how I have been blessed with an antennae like that, the fact is,  I have always been attracted to the people who live in “Reality” more than the world of “Dos and Don’ts”. It’s not easy, let’s admit it, because our surrounding always drives us invariably to follow some norms and customs, compelling at times, too. Well, not always they are bad though but sometime it makes me feel as if we are just animated objects “ not-having-our-key-in-our-hands”. Just like toys.  That’s why I have a fondness of observing people and their lives who really don’t surrender to the surrounding, come what may.

On First January, When She came, i asked her "How did you celebrate last Night?"
She replied, "Kya Manaega Bhabi, hum Celebrate karein to Naya saal ayega, Na Kare, to bhi Nayaa Saal ayega. Nayaa Saal ko ana hi hota hai" and then she giggled.

Her twinkling eyes were looking like radiating gems on her serene face. For a moment, the sleep deprived state of me suddenly got a mild start, realizing my silliness and inanity to spend the New Year Eve over inanimate celebration, till late night.  The whole day, new year day,  was going to be a tiring one given to my fatigue state of being.

How profound her thought was. Time is ought to change, no matter we do something or not. That's the only truth. New Year would always come, if we stay awake or not. I am not against those who like to celebrate in whatever way they want. But I am against myself being influenced by the same, which I often fall into.

Cina is a very calm, composed and content lady. She never loses her cool (okay, she does sometime if someone says something about me or to me, Ha ha)
So many things I have learnt from her, yet it seems still I have to fathom a sea of wisdom of her life. A very affectionate and adorable as a person... She is Made for Me Forever

Hide & Seek:The Game Of Life

Dear Friends,
Let me Wish You All a Very Happy and Prosperous New Year, 2018.
Since last few months, I have been very irregular in posting on my blog. There were compulsions of life which needed my priority.  Also, I was occupied with writing a Book. Surprised???? Even I too…You know what, time and again, I feel no hesitation in accepting that I am Not a Writer at first place. Writing…that is expressing through words is an art and I believe I am not born with this talent. Well, like any other person, I have a talent to learn and that’s what I am using to write even if it’s not my forte.

I haven’t ever thought of writing a sentence, let alone a Book.  So coming out with Books is a MIRACLE in itself for me. Now Do I need to say “I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES, BECAUSE THEY DO HAPPEN!!!?”
Well…will come up with more words about my journey as writer and finally becoming an AUTHOR of Two Books. Yes, In 2017, Two of My Books Are Published. I will write more on them…however since its my first Post on 2018, Here I am just giving a Brief Introduction of One of my Books…

HIDE & SEEK: The Game of Life

It’s a Short Story Collections comprising of 11 Stories. They are more or less….resemble the characters in our surrounding only. Here is a small prologue…

In The Course Of Life, As We Grow
We Encounter Many Events and So
That makes a permanent indentation Mark
In our Heart,
Some of them make a deep and sound memory lane
Some of them make us feel and sense
That they are so unique, unusual and strange
Enriching us at times
And tormenting too
Making Us Believe
That they are worth Sharing
To make others feel, understand and relish
That may resonate with the similar feelings
They may relive those moments once again,
Moments of Happiness or Blocked pains
While the barren ache may be released with my words
While the Happiness-lived already
Once again becomes manifold
Though words may not have colours,
But they can paint Rainbows In everyone’s life
The Characters in My book will tell you that
Hide & Seek – The Game Of Life.

That’s enough for now…
Have a Great Day and a Wonderful Year Ahead!!!
