WHEN LAW MAKERS BREAK THE LAW!!!
In a usual weekend out recently, I noticed something unusual. It was in the evening and while we drove our car out from the parking lot, I spotted this Vehicle parked in the “NO PARKING” zone near Inorbit Mall, Vashi. We slowed down the car & stopped at the other side as I wanted to get out of it and check it. I walked towards it. As I got bit closer I found, it was having a red/orange beacon.
As per my knowledge Red beacons are for high dignity posts in government. Easily I could get it that it must be the vehicle of a high authority Government Official for sure. Also as per my knowledge, seeking to end the VIP culture, the Union Cabinet had decided that beacon lights will be removed from all vehicles from May 1 2016, except emergency vehicles, like ambulances and fire brigade. However, the central government had specified that the vehicles on office duty which are designated for the... emergency and disaster management duties may be allowed to use multi-coloured red, blue and white lights.
Neither was it an emergency vehicle nor any disaster there. Moreover what was more irony; it was PARKED in NO PARKING Zone.
Shouldn’t everyone including law makers supposed to be abide by the rule? I was with my teenage son and imagine what lesson might have gone to his mind. Is it that being a part of the law making team makes you put above the law automatically??
It might appear as a small incident but we can never ignore its lethal impact on young minds. Vehicle should never be parked in "No-parking" zone, it seems, people who sermon/teach people about this forgot learn this by themselves, first.
