Dew Drops

Dew Drops
I wish I could be grasses for few moments
To feel the ecstasy of falling dew drops from heaven
They say dew drops show us how short is Life
But what could more meaningful if life could be short but bright!!
I was never so delighted while watching them
My morning started with a great ode of melody divine!!
I love dew drops on blades of grass......

Do me a favor Love me less

Do me a favor
Love me less
I know you love me lot
But I'm a Fragile Case

I won't be able
To handle the mess
That often comes handy
With Heartbreaks

You told me...
"I want to touch you
Take you in my arms
And hug you hard"

But My Dear
My Heart is bruised
And my soul is
Tinged with fear & ache

My Loud Laughter
And witty banter
Might have touched your heart
But in Reality
They Camouflage
My tinted soul and broken heart

Do me a favor
Love me less
I know you love me lot
But I'm a Fragile Case

ODIA PARBA RAJA- A Unique ODIA Festival

Isn’t it an amazing thing that in a country where it is common to shun women from social life when they are menstruating, a state like Odisha stands out??
Odisha has always been century ahead in terms of being progressive when it comes to its unique culture and festival. Raja an Odia festival that celebrates the menstruating cycle of mother earth....
Manoj Jena, a Social activist said,
“Everyone who thinks women are impure during their periods should see how Odisha celebrates Raja. Those who believe the menstrual blood to be impure should know that the same kept a life on for nine months inside the mother’s womb.”

Raja Parba, a three-day long festival in Odisha, is a celebration of menstruation and womanhood.
The first day is called Pahili Raja, second being Raja Shankrant
(Mithuna Shankranti) and third day is called Bhu Daaha  or Baasi Raja. In these three days, no agricultural activity like ploughing or sowing seeds is done as it is believed that Mother Earth goes through the process of rejuvenation.  On the fourth day Mother Earth is given a ceremonial bath which is called as Vasumati Snana. Till the fourth day women in the families are given freedom from daily household core, like cooking, cutting and chopping.
It’s a wonderful festival celebrated in Odisha where women are given rest from their every day work. Instead they play games, swings and have fun. New clothes and delicacies are the best part of the celebration.
Doli, Pitha, Pana  and Raja Mauja that includes games,  new clothes and happiness with unique ritualistic observations….are the exclusive specialty of this festival. And the best part is men take over the household work for these                                             three days and also celebrate it full spirit.
It’s a festival beyond usual temple rituals…unique in its own way. It’s just about Celebration of the value and respect for womanhood.

Once which started as a tribal practice, this festival has become a mainstream festival in all parts of Odisha. With time, even though this festival has undergone a lot of changes, it still revolves around respecting and celebrating womanhood. The essence is intact as it is…..

Today is the Baasi raja….Third Day....A delayed Post Though.
Let's Celebrate it with all our spirits...
Happyyy Raja To All

I Dream, I Dare…..Even If I am Scared

I Dream, I Dare…..Even I am Scared

My Strength is my dreams
And I Dream of Small Things
I Manage a Smile on My face
Even in the midst of storm and tempest
At times, Into pieces,  I often break
But I assemble and reinstate myself
Often the challenges and taboos
Make me  suppressed
But I bounce back with all my strength
I am the ocean of Love and Care
Even If I get stripped up layer by layer
Even If
The world finds it difficult to acknowledge my existence
It never stops me to Work for Brilliance & Excellence
I Am a Woman,
Created by Angels in the Heaven
To rock the cradle and rule the world
But Sometimes I am Scared....
Sometimes low, Sometimes wrecked
But I Dream, I Dare
To Get the Universe  of My Share…..

Embarrass Truth and Honesty

Embarrass Truth and Honesty
With Life…I learned
We are all Warriors In the battle of our own
Making Stern Efforts to become Winner and Strong
To have Justice, Progress, Truth, and Light
We compete and brawl with fellow beings, at times
We wrap our darkness, weaknesses with the cock-and-bull story
To defend ourselves from being hurt and mar with injury
Well…That’s Life – I would Say - but what we forget to learn
With the process, we overlook Truth and enslave ourselves to Fictions
But at The End
The God of Light shines in the terrain of that soul
That embarrasses Truth and Honesty with utmost valour.

The Moon Chase!!

The Moon Chase!!
Every Morning I chase for Sun and Its First Sight
But This Morning It was The Moon waiting for me, smiling and bright
As the pre-dawn morning zephyr caressed my curls
I was enamoured by the ecstatic magnificence of The Moon
After
glowing to the fullest in the Entire Full Moon Night of Yesterday
It was waiting for me have a Look at it and bid It a Good-bye
Is it just a Co-incidence for making me Believe in the Nature?
Or some kind of cosmic assurance

IMAGINATION HAS NO BOUNDARY

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

What do you see in the above picture/painting?  What message can you read from the above picture? What message the painter of this painting might have thought to give through this painting?

Well, you might have your own denotations according to your own decoding/understanding system. Even I had that. In fact, I was wondering why the silhouette of a polar bear has a blue sky with dark blue clouds dotted with white stars? A polar bear generally reflects the polar reason that is mostly white. isn't it? Then…??
My Son is in 9th STD. There was a drawing and painting competition in his class. All the students had painted wonderful pictures. My son collected a few of them from his friends and brought home and put them on the wall. Then he asked me which one is good and what do I read from the above painting.  I after telling which one I liked most, I asked what's this painting is about.

He said," Mamma, here, my friend Manav has been represented as a  polar bear, sad and done, as we have left him in the polar reason. Bahut Masti Karta hai" and he giggled.
I laughed. I knew how these just-into-teens children do these days to tease their friends. After a while, he stopped and told me "Ohkay, Mazak Kar Raha tha Mamma, now let me tell you what's  it?"

I looked at him wearing a question mark on my face.

"It’s the Effect Of GLOBAL WARMING Mamma. Can't you see the polar bear is sad as all the ice in polar reason has been melted? Only a few flurries of snow like structure will remain in the air and no more ice will remain in glacial reason in a few years from now if the global warming will keep increasing this rate as now. Isn't it? How can a polar bear survive without glacial surfaces? Won't it get the treat of extinct of its species? That's why  it is sad….did you get it?"

I was looking at him, jaw dropped, lost. Seriously, the imagination of these kids can really dig a well in the sky too.

What do you say!!

BROKENHEART

Never need to be fixed again
Never wish to feel the love again
As the castle collapses with thundering pain
Shattering the debris as sand grains
Walls of Heart cried tears of blood
Caving in feelings of hollow & void
And the Universe witnessed
Moments of gloomy and dark
Somewhere, broken a tender heart

When He Spoke Those Words

When He Spoke Those Words
On the Face value
They were Just words
Made up of Alphabets
To be “pronounced”
I Love You
But
When He Spoke Those Words
Having Them from Him
Spoken with passion
Made her wild & Ecstatic
Within Fraction of Seconds
Everything Paused
Her World Changed
And She Danced
Tuned To the Melody Of Her Heart…..

WHEN LAW MAKERS BREAK THE LAW!!!

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

WHEN LAW MAKERS BREAK THE LAW!!!
In a usual weekend out recently, I noticed something unusual. It was in the evening and while we drove our car out from the parking lot, I spotted this Vehicle parked in the “NO PARKING” zone near Inorbit Mall,  Vashi.  We slowed down the car & stopped at the other side as I wanted to get out of it and check it. I walked towards it. As I got bit closer I found, it was having a red/orange beacon.
As per my knowledge Red beacons are for high dignity posts in government. Easily I could get it that it must be the vehicle of a high authority Government Official for sure. Also as per my knowledge, seeking to end the VIP culture, the Union Cabinet had decided that beacon lights will be removed from all vehicles from May 1 2016, except emergency vehicles, like ambulances and fire brigade. However, the central government had specified that the vehicles on office duty which are designated for the... emergency and disaster management duties may be allowed to use multi-coloured red, blue and white lights.

Neither was it an emergency vehicle nor any disaster there. Moreover what was more irony; it was PARKED in NO PARKING Zone.

Shouldn’t everyone including law makers supposed to be abide by the rule? I was with my teenage son and imagine what lesson might have gone to his mind.  Is it that being a part of the law making team makes you put above the law automatically??

It might appear as a small incident but we can never ignore its lethal impact on young minds. Vehicle should never be parked in "No-parking" zone,  it seems, people who sermon/teach people about this forgot learn this  by themselves, first.

#MyFriendAlexa: A Dive into a Deep Sea

Let me start with a disclaimer:
I am not a writer or a blogger in its true essence. Means I am not very tech savvy, word savvy or English Savvy.  I still struggle to express my thoughts with my Not-So-Good-English and find ways to improve it every day.  I just write as If I am writing in a digital diary. Absolutely have no idea about the blogging ranks, like mozo rank, Alexa Ranks …you know. I don’t even know how these ranks are generated. Blog traffic, ads…and all such stuffs… I have absolutely no idea about them.

You must be thinking…then “Why the hell I am here being a part of this activity by Blogchatter?”
Well…even I had this question.
Let me tell you, I had heard about this #MyFriendAlexa activity last year. That time I had thought I should explore it. In August, when some of my friends shared in their SM handles that they’re going to be part of it, I thought I shouldn’t be a part of it, this year. Let me understand it first. Then at the end of the month, my curiousness and
Excitement got better of me. So without any prior preparation I got into it.
Now, I am feeling I have just jumped into a deep sea.
I don’t know if I will be able to complete it or not. I have no clue if my blog ranks will go up or not (in that way, I am bit less expectant though) However, there are certain good things which I have already observed. Within this few days, I felt

It Makes You Read a lot
It’s great to be a part of this Campaign since “reading list” is a compulsory part of it.  I read blogs of different genre which I wouldn’t have known about otherwise, let alone reading them.

Making Blogger Friends
As we read about lots of blogs, we come across so many bloggers. We find an avenue of making new friends.

It Helps In Polishing our Technical Skills
Yes, it helps in boosting our technical skills…since we are just a query away from receiving answers from many skilled and experienced bloggers.

Till now…I am just struggling with accommodating the “Reading List” in my already too tight routine. However, I am enjoying it too. Hope, things will more smooth as proceed with everyday.

One thing I must say…Its Time for me to come up with a self Hosting Blog. At least I realized the importance of it in this few days of #MyFriendAlexa campaign Hope I will have one within few months.
I have just dived into the Deep Sea of Blogging World. Let me learn SWIMMING in it….:)

A BEST RAKHI GIFT!!!

Raksha Bandhan is a festival of Emotions like love and the sacred bonding between brothers and sisters. I love this festival because the celebration of this festival is all about paying veneration to sentiments and the feelings attached between siblings. Another reason, the one that is most unique about this festival for which I love it most is its “simplicity”…I mean no hard core rules are needed to be observed in this festival.
And the most exciting reason that every sister look forward to this festival is the “GIFT”….. As a part of tradition, a brother presents his sister exciting gifts and promises to guide and protect her throughout the life. I must say a gift plays a prominent role and denotes gestures of love and affection.
I’m really lucky as I have four brothers…..three elders and one younger (it’s a different thing that the younger one also behaves as an elder brother). It really feels like a princess when there’re four brothers to protect you. In my upbringing years I was often envied by some of my friends. Especially at the time of Raksha Bandan as they used to say” Tina…tera to achha hai. You’re going to get FOUR gifts...Ahwah!”
But they didn’t know in fact nobody knew, at my  home the scenario was completely different

There were never FOUR gifts. In fact after tying the Rakhis to the wrists of four brothers, my eldest brother used to actually give the GIFT and other three would say “it’s the gift on behalf of all of us”. I used to wander why can’t they follow “each one, gift one” where all of them can afford to buy one. But still I was happy as GIFT being the reason of it.

However after my marriage I never had any opportunity to tie Rakhi as I could never present at home in this occasion. All what I do is, I send Rakhi – through speed post or courier - and just pray God that it should reach in time. Now I understand the “Happiness of “tying” the Rakhi” on the wrists of my brothers. I never think of Rakhi Gift these days though my brothers never stop gifting me.
Few years back a small thing happened that totally changed my perception of a “Rakhi Gift”. During a talk with my eldest brother over phone once he shared an incident. He told how he generally manages to tie my Rakhi” once it is delivered at their place.
On the day of Rakhi Poornima he often he looks for a sister like person and asks them to tie the Rakhi on his wrist. But one particular year he couldn’t find any one and took the Rakhi in his pocket and went to his site, a construction site (he is a construction professional…Civil Engineer). In his site - an under construction bridge - there were many women workers work on daily wages. That day he saw a small girl – around 8-9 years, the daughter of a woman worker - taking care of small baby. He stopped there and asked the girl to tie the Rakhi and then gave her The GIFT….

The mother of the girl noticed that and came rushing as she felt might be something wrong the girl might have done. She was afraid of BADA BABU (My brother used to be addressed by all the workers that name) and started apologizing on behalf the girl. My brother calm down her and made her understand about the real fact. After that I don’t know what he did but while narrating this incident, at last he said to me “It was really heart touching to see that girl SMILING and …..” then he said nothing.

But sometime silence says everything. Isn’t it? I knew after seeing that HEART TOUCHING SMILE on the face of that girl my brother must have prayed to ALMIGHTY to bless that SAME BLISSFUL SMILE on my face and I could see the other three brothers saying, “The same SMILE on behalf of all of us”.

Now a day whenever I visit to the Rakhi stalls I love to see the different Rakhis. I feel them as a bunch of smiles looking at me and saying me that every brother anywhere in the world always wants to see A SMILE on his sister’s face for which he can go to any extent. Every Rakhi is made to bring SMILE, LOVE and Bond.  Nothing can be a more than a GIFT OF SMILE because this is the BEST GIFT!!!!
